Permanent Make-up, also known as micro-pigmentation, derma-pigmentation or color implanting, is a form of cosmetic tattooing used to enhance facial features. It can mimic eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, lip liner or lipstick. After consulting with Jodi and deciding on which service(s) you desire and your color palate, your procedure will begin with the application of a topical anesthetic. (We also offer a dental block for lip procedures if you so desire.) To ensure your comfort, we allow 20-30 minutes for the anesthetic to take effect. Once Jodi has ensured the area is numb your procedure begins. It takes approximately 2 hours for each of the procedures (eyes, brows or lips). Once the procedure is completed you will be instructed with care. Ice should be applied to help with the swelling and soreness for the first 2-3 days. No more than 10 minutes at a time. Antibiotic ointment should be applied continuously for the first 24-48 hours and daily for the next 2-4 weeks. Touch-ups can be done after 8 weeks or when cleared to do so by Jodi. The process is completely pain free and you can return to work the same day if you so desire.
